The reception is a shared kitchen, and I can't understand how the place has such good ratings. We booked a room with a city view, sound insulation, and a window. At first they offered us a basement room. When we refused, they showed us a room that didn't match the photos, where a man was already staying and had to be asked to leave. The view from the window was a wall, and there was no sound insulation. In the restroom you could hear someone breathing next door. The booking said staff spoke English and Russian, but everyone only spoke Turkish. It also listed slippers, but when we asked, they gave us one pair of used, dusty rubber flip flops for two people. The hairdryer listed in the booking only arrived a day after we asked for it. All the disposable shampoo and shower gel bottles were already open. The refrigerator didn't work, and the replacement they brought didn't work either. Staff wore shoes in the rooms. The closet hangers wouldn't stay on the rail and could fall in the middle of the night. Staff could enter a closed room while you were out.

We work with many different places as a travel agency. When one of our clients didn't show up for a booking here, the hotel could have charged us the full stay, but they waived the amount. We really appreciate their goodwill and recommend them to anyone looking to stay here.

Everything is within walking distance, which makes this one of the best places to stay in Istanbul. It's a bit small for families, but the brothers Halil and Mujahid are very helpful with whatever you need.

The hosts are friendly, and the room is clean and comfortable with everything you need. It's close to the center, yet the area is quite quiet.
