Hotel Grand Medya

The rooms are nice, though they really need to replace or improve the sheets because I found lots of holes in them. Breakfast was simple but decent, with the basic things you'd expect in the buffet.

The room was clean, and the cleaning ladies were very sweet. Emruallah, one of the receptionists, was also kind and professional during our stay, always smiling and ready to help. I hope I spelled his name right. The service overall was poor. One receptionist kept pushing me to speak Arabic even though I asked in English. I understand Arabic but don't speak it. They assumed I did because I was born in an Arab country, and refused to help when I couldn't speak it. Girls should also be careful around some of the men, based on what we saw and heard. A middle-aged man, possibly a manager or supervisor, reportedly tried hard to sleep with girls. When a group of girls travelled together, he apparently tried to get the male staff to hang around their friends, like a double date, and bragged about how many hotel guests he'd had in his bed.

We tried the spa and had a pretty good time. The massage and Turkish bath were enjoyable. I didn't explore the rest of the hotel.

The food was fresh and tasty, and the rooms were clean. They treated customers nicely, too. A good hotel.
