The staff were good, and the location was great, with everything easy to reach. It was warm, and the hotel captured the old town feel well, so it wasn’t a bad stay overall. Still, the rooms were all dim, the bathroom was small, and at 5 11 I could barely fit under the shower. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, and walking along the street meant getting hassled by an overly eager local trying to pull us into a restaurant. We stayed two nights with friends in one super deluxe and two deluxe rooms. The super deluxe was fine, but room 8 was barely bigger than a coffin. After we checked in and went out, I asked reception about another room. One was available, but they charged me 1500 TL in cash just to move.

The hotel itself and its location are good. The buffet had fruit, cheese, and chicken slices, with okay quality, but there was hardly anything else besides the bread. I’d rather pay a bit more for a proper breakfast. The coffee was the worst part, a disgusting "socket juice" from an old machine, served in a paper cup. They say their usual coffee machine is broken, but it seems it hasn’t worked for a long time. Getting decent coffee when I wake up matters to me.

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the location put us near the main sights, including Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, Basilica cisterna, and Sultan Ahmet mosque. Staff were helpful: although we didn’t initially get the view room shown in our booking, they gave us a nice city-view room when we asked. I didn’t have a hairdryer, and they kindly offered to move me to a room that had one. The only real disturbance was a group of drunk German tourists arriving late, shouting, screaming, and hitting the walls while others were trying to sleep. Such shameful behavior.

The staff were always kind and helpful, with good advice whenever we needed something or had questions. We loved the location too, with lots of tourist sights nearby. We stayed four nights and would book here again when we return to Istanbul. 10++. Thanks again to Sebastian and his staff.

Sebastian, the hotel manager, helped us with everything and was interesting to talk to. We also loved the hotel cat, she’s so cute. The location is great, right in the center, but the streets were quiet, so we could relax in the restaurant with tea or coffee. Our room was clean, and breakfast was very good, with different hot dishes each day, which was nice over a stay of several days.
