Istanbul Central Hotel

It's handy for the old city sights, and the metro is close by if you need to get around. Breakfast was fine. The economy rooms, though, can be pretty dirty, with mold in the silicone and rust in the shower, and some don't have windows.

The location is great, and the hotel costs less than nearby places. The rooms are nice, and breakfast was plentiful, even if it didn't look like the photos. I did notice some mold in the bathroom silicone and rust in the shower.

We got lucky finding istanbul central hotel. It's cozy and quiet, and the staff are kind, welcoming, and helpful. The room, toilet, and kitchen were clean, and it's close to everything we wanted to see. Best of all, it's affordable compared with other hotels.

The breakfast was a real disappointment: cold food, only a little bread, no pastries or hot choices, and bad tea and coffee. It didn't match what they advertise. The rooms were tiny, dark, basic, and uncomfortable, nothing like the pictures online. The hotel also felt crowded, and the front desk staff were dishonest about our booking. They kept saying it wasn't with them, despite the clear vouchers from our tour operator. The tour company sent them again, and the staff still denied getting them even though we had proof. There's a prayer tower right outside the window, and it's very loud around 4:50 AM, which is rough if you're a light sleeper. I also felt unsafe because the emergency exit was left open, smoking was allowed inside, anyone could come in via the back stairs, and there was no visible security. This was one of the worst parts of our trip, and I don't recommend the hotel. I did stay there, despite what the hotel's reply suggests. Maybe their records aren't good at identifying real customers.
