For 200€ a week, I can overlook the flat being a little rundown and needing more general maintenance. The location and price are great, and the two small rooms have everything you need for a decent stay.

The host was really nice and responsive. The location works well, near the famous sights but far enough away that baklava and other local things cost less. The rooms are small, though that's enough when you're only there to sleep.

Emrah, the host, was attentive and very helpful. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday stay. Istanbul House hotel is close to the main tourist attractions, restaurants, and cafes, with a little park nearby that has a children's playground and a fountain. There are also a few supermarkets, coffee shops, and places for baklava and kebab around.

The apartment was cozy and quite affordable for the area, near the historic center. But there were ants all over, and getting anywhere meant climbing very steep slopes. The mosque right in front woke us every day, as if its speaker were inside the room.

The owner was very friendly, and many historic places are close by. The narrow road outside is quite busy, so traffic noise is the one downside.
