Kadirga Antik Hotel

The only good things during our seven days at Kadirga Antik Hotel were its location and the kindness of two receptionists. My other 10 family members who stayed with me can confirm what I’m describing, and I’m attaching photos as proof. The website photos don’t show the actual condition, which was significantly worse. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, with mold on the walls, leaking showers, rusty fixtures, and ants. The walls were so thin we could clearly hear conversations from neighboring rooms. Breakfast was especially disappointing. The selection was very limited and the same every day, without even basic items like spreads or cocoa for children. Some guests had to go to nearby shops to get food for their kids. The “terrace” had leftover food, including chicken bones, that wasn’t cleaned up at any point during our stay. If you expect even basic cleanliness and service, avoid this hotel.

The photos made the hotel look nicer than it was, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re after a good stay. There was no iron in the room, even though the hotel claimed to provide one. The bathroom tap and toilet water were both brown. They wouldn’t let us change rooms and didn’t seem to think the dirty water was a problem. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either, and they only had it changed as we were leaving.

The hotel was inexpensive, but it was by far the worst value for money I’ve found through Booking.com. I don’t understand how it has an 8.1 rating there. The breakfast was bad, and when we asked them to book an airport taxi, they simply didn’t order one. We were furious. Everything was dirty, especially the bathroom. The water kept switching from freezing cold to hot every 10 seconds while we showered. The bed linens were dirty and full of hair. One day we went out around noon, and although they hadn’t cleaned the room, they took the towels and left no replacements. Reception didn’t answer when I called, so I went down and asked. They said towels would be sent, but nothing came. About two hours and three more trips downstairs later, we finally got them. I had to go to reception four times for towels.

The room was really nice, and housekeeping came around noon each day to clean it well. Nothing was stolen. The hotel was clean and in a very convenient location. Breakfast was average, nothing special. We asked them to book a taxi to the airport, and the driver didn’t scam us. A really nice and hygienic hotel.
