Kafkas Hotel

I wouldn't recommend this place. It's old and outdated, and they still have COVID 19 flyers up. The front desk was rude, and I was complained to for sneezing at noon. The room wasn't like the pictures they promoted. During my three-day stay, they never changed the bedsheets, only the towel. And that towel could have passed as a cleaning rag.

It's my fourth visit to Istanbul, and I regret not choosing Kafkas Hotel on the first three. I had reservations at several hotels this time, with Kafkas as one of them, but the difference was clear from the first meeting. I even gave up non-refundable nights at the others so I could stay here, and I have no regrets. The welcome was warm and kind, like being greeted by a second family. The location is perfect, just a few steps from Marmaray and minutes from the tramway, so getting around was easy. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed: a heater, air conditioner, TV, fridge, and, as the nicest surprise, a prayer mat. May God place it on the scale of their good deeds 🤍 Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind, especially Yassin 😍, who was always polite and ready to lend a hand. And Mehtap ♥️ is truly the heart of this hotel. Her cheerful energy, kindness, and genuine care made us love the place and look forward to seeing her smile every day. She unexpectedly gave my son an amazing remote-control car 🚗, which touched us deeply. She also went out of her way to help with my online orders 🙈. From our family to the Kafkas family, thank you for making our stay unforgettable. ♥️ We'll definitely be back.

I was really impressed by the hotel staff's service. They were responsive and honest. I lost my cellphone during my stay and had almost given up, but the staff quickly helped look for it, found it, and returned it safely. Their honesty and sense of responsibility meant a lot to me. Thank you for your help. This hotel is trustworthy and worth recommending! ❣️

We arrived for our booking at Kafkas Hotel Istanbul but were refused check-in because we had our young daughter with us and had forgotten to include her on the reservation. We couldn't change the booking online. The staff member acted very unprofessionally, and it felt discriminatory. She would only let our daughter stay if we paid a very high extra fee, even though our reservation was valid. The whole situation was stressful and disappointing, especially since we'd never had this problem at other hotels. We hope management addresses how guests are treated in the future.
