The host was really friendly, and the accommodation was cheap. Galata Tower is very close. To get here, get off at sishane station, with the train station also nearby.

We felt uncomfortable from the moment we reached the neighborhood. Many residents seemed to be laborers, and some men stared at my friend and me and verbally harassed us. We didn't feel safe walking to or from the building. The road is so narrow that a car couldn't drop us at the entrance, so we had to haul our heavy suitcases on foot. The room door was useless and couldn't be locked. The room itself didn't match its description. After a long discussion through Mr Cihan, we left the next day and got no refund. Mr Cihan was kind, polite, and responsive, but he couldn't make the decision himself, so we had to wait while he consulted Sercan, the decision maker. There were problems throughout the room: the water, heating, and air-conditioning systems were out of order, and it was freezing. The TV didn't work, and the wifi cut in and out every five minutes. The bathroom smelled bad. The room was small, and the old furniture was dusty. The towels were ripped and looked heavily used. The complimentary sweets and nuts seemed like leftovers and clearly expired. The buildings are so close together that the men's offices opposite our bed made it impossible to open the curtains or windows. The balcony was small and very dirty, and its door wouldn't shut properly, so cold air kept coming in. The stairs to the third floor were steep and narrow, making the climb dangerous. We took photos of all this. The pictures on the website might be photoshopped or something like that.

The apartment and restaurant are very dirty. My baby was bitten all over her body by bugs in his bed, and when I told Sercan, he called me crazy. He is very rude and crazy. Don't fall for what he says. You'll be so disappointed in his restaurant.

I left immediately, without even staying five minutes, though I'd booked two nights. The room, bed, bathroom, and towels all smelled awful and seemed old, and the AC was weak. Several parts of the stairs had no protection, and neither the room's main door nor the balcony door would close. The location felt poor and very unsafe, and taxis couldn't get there. I messaged the owner and he said okay without asking why. Maybe he's used to people paying and then leaving straight away.
