Metropolitan Hotels Taksim

We arrived late at night without a booking, and the receptionist kindly helped us and accepted us. The rooms were clean and quiet, the staff were all kind, and the traditional breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted delicious. The location is great, about four minutes from Taksim square. When we left for the airport, a staff member called a taxi for us. We’ll definitely come back.

Ozan was especially friendly and helpful during our stay, assisting us several times and always making us feel welcome. The rest of the staff were lovely too, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The Metropolitan Hotel is in a perfect spot in Taksim, very close to Taksim Square. Shops, restaurants, and public transport are all within walking distance, making it easy to explore Istanbul. Breakfast was a little limited, but our experience was very positive overall. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel was great, and the location was especially good. The one thing that bothered me was the water and tea or coffee supplies. Staff only leave them on the first day, according to the hotel policy, though most hotels I've stayed in replenish those each day.

A terrible stay. The place looked nothing like the photos, so be careful. The staff who helped with our luggage left us to carry it ourselves. Then housekeeping went through my luggage and left my clothes in a mess. At reception, the woman couldn't sort it out, and the manager didn't seem to care or try to help. He offered me a drink, as if that fixed anything. Awful experience, and it felt like a big scam.
