My Assos Hotel

We had a good breakfast, with well-cooked food. Most things were repeated each day, so we quickly worked out the best combination. The location is very good, though the hotel is on a hill and means a five-minute uphill walk each day. Service was good apart from one person who was rude and sarcastic for no reason. Most of the rooms were actually good, but some had no windows. We were lucky to get a good room with ventilation and a window view.

The hotel is in what I think is Istanbul’s best location, and the rooms are large, nice, and newly renovated. The swimming pool wasn’t working. The small restaurant has very few dishes and runs out quickly, so it can’t handle many guests. Some staff seemed bad-tempered and wouldn’t even say good morning. Mr. Shokat’s excellent service and kindness made the hotel more pleasant and popular for me. He’s the number one person at the hotel in my eyes. I’d go back just because of his kindness.

I only ended up in Istanbul because a flight change left me with a two-day stop on the way home. I’m glad it worked out that way. This place was lovely, the staff were kind, and I could walk to everything I needed. I’d recommend it.

The sheets were stained, the towels were dirty, and we had no toilet paper. The room itself was extremely dirty, and the breakfast was awful. I left my phone at reception and called for two hours without anyone picking up. When my friend used Find My Phone and it started ringing, the receptionist finally answered and said he hadn’t heard it. The staff’s behavior was unacceptable. I wouldn’t stay here even for free.
