The balcony overlooking the sea is lovely, though the interior feels quite gloomy. I wasn't won over by the food, and the alcohol is seriously overpriced. The prices seem to reflect the seaside location more than the dishes, which I didn't find very flavorful. I've found a few nearby seaside places with much tastier food, and may share them later.

We asked for a sunny table on the terrace, but the manager was rude and pretentious. She said the better view tables were reserved and promised to move us if one opened up. Instead, she seated us in a dark corner and forgot about us. It looked to us as though other guests got those tables because they were part of the elite class. I wouldn't return or recommend it unless you look like you have plenty of money and want to be treated decently.

The Bosphorus view is gorgeous, and the quality has stayed consistent over the years. Bebek Otel is an Istanbul icon, and I can't think of another place like it. The service is amazing.

I had a confirmed reservation at Bebek Hotel by The Stay, secured with my credit card. I called two days before arriving to say I'd be checking in early, and was told everything was in order. Then, less than 24 hours before check-in, I got an email canceling the booking and issuing a refund, without any explanation, apology, or help finding another solution. I spent nearly an hour trying to reach someone. When reception finally picked up, they said they couldn't help, and that the reservations team was unavailable and unwilling to speak with me. Nobody called back or answered my emails. For a hotel that charges premium rates and presents itself as a luxury destination, this was arrogant and unprofessional. Canceling at the last minute without cause and taking no responsibility or even speaking to the guest was disgraceful. I felt they were acting with complete impunity and disregard for guests. Avoid this place. The prices are luxury, but the treatment was indifferent. Book somewhere else.
