The team made our one-night stay for my partner’s birthday one of the best we’ve had. Before check-in, they messaged us on whatsapp to help with arrival, recommend restaurants, and offer booking help. They also took care of our room service requests for the celebration and even had a birthday gift waiting at checkout. The service was professional, reliable, attentive, and generous. As a Platinum member who’s stayed at multiple Marriott hotels over the past three years, I’ve never had this level of service. Special thanks to Zeynep and Alp, who were incredibly kind and coordinated it all. They made the stay feel like a 10-star experience. The hotel is beautiful, and we loved the upgraded room, its design, and the comfortable bed. It had all the amenities we needed. The toilet area wasn’t very private, but that didn’t take away from our stay. The varied à la carte breakfast was delicious, and the cafe downstairs was excellent. We’ll definitely be back on our next Istanbul trip.

The rooftop Turkish breakfast is unbeatable, and the staff were amazing and attentive. It’s a beautiful building with comfortable, nicely sized rooms. The location is ideal for tourists, close to the metro and tram, with plenty of places to visit within a 15-minute walk, including the palace and hagia Sofia. I can’t imagine a better place.

The service outweighed the few issues we had. Staff were lovely, polite, and quick to address anything we asked about. They even packed breakfast for us to take along when we had to leave very early on our last day. The rooftop terrace has spectacular views, and the Turkish breakfast was unbelievable. Our room was quiet at night, at least during our stay. We were upgraded as Titanium elite members to a room with a balcony, but the wood floor was badly damaged by water and the carpet was very stained. I mentioned the floor condition, and the front desk manager apologized and offered another room. We didn’t have time to move, and he apologized again later. The room and bathroom were both fairly small, though I can’t say how they compare with the other rooms in this old building. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and my husband’s birthday, and overall it was a very nice stay. The location is great.

The rooftop restaurant was a highlight. I enjoyed delicious Turkish appetizers and fine dining as I looked out over the Golden Horn, Hagia Sophia, Galata Tower, and other landmarks. The views felt almost unreal, like being inside a story. The bed was amazing, and the room was genuinely comfortable. The building is beautiful and full of history, in keeping with the spirit of Türkiye and Istanbul. From arrival, the service felt warm, attentive, and personal, more like being welcomed home than simply checking in. My short stay at the Orient Occident Hotel was unforgettable. I left with lovely memories and every intention of returning.
