Ottoman's Life Hotel - Special Class

The room was a good size and very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. Housekeeping and janitorial staff worked really hard and did a great job. Most staff were welcoming and helpful, though a few seemed to give attention only to very wealthy guests. This is an upscale hotel, so little is included in the nightly rate. The ladies' pool was lovely, but guests have to buy a swim cap from the hotel for 20 TL per person before using it, so it isn't really included or free. I didn't try the spa or gym.

As a frequent traveler, this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Avoid it if you can. The rooms were extremely cramped, and management mixed up our rooms at check-in. One of our rooms was supposed to be a regular double, but they gave us a honeymoon room instead, which was weird for a group of friends. Their idea of an extra bed was throwing a mattress on the floor. There was only one employee available through the day, apart from housekeeping. Communication was terrible because of a language barrier, and management was terrible too. Housekeeping were extremely rude and went through our belongings without permission. They didn't change the sheets, and the towels and sheets were dirty and ripped. Air conditioning didn't work properly, and the hallway ceiling dripped water throughout our stay. Instead of fixing it, they put a bucket underneath. There's just one iron in the whole hotel, and it's broken. Breakfast was poor, and the bathroom design was strange because you could see people in it. I would NOT recommend this hotel to ANYONE.

The golden-colored room theme might look impressive in photos, but this is a very small hotel with very few rooms, and a couple of the rooms were only okay. It didn't offer the hotel experience some people are after. The shower drain wasn't clean, and there was a lot of noise at night. They charged me $120 for the first night, then $90 a night for the next 4 nights. In the same area, you can find a 4* hotel for $60 or less in similar condition. The buffet was cheap. I don't recommend it.

The hotel is in a nice location, close to everything, and the people there are amazing. Great service. I highly recommend it!
