Patio SeaShore Hotel

The area is handy for public transport and attractions, and prices are lower than in the tourist-heavy districts. Reception staff were friendly and tried to help despite some communication difficulties. They changed towels and collected rubbish every two days, and even lent me an umbrella when it rained. Still, the stay had serious problems. My reservation at GZH Park Bosphorus Hotel had been made about two months ahead. On arrival, after a difficult conversation, I was told they couldn’t find it in their system. I ended up at the owner’s other property, Patio Seashore Hotel, which had much poorer amenities and service. They suggested cancelling the original booking and paying a smaller amount, but by then I no longer trusted the staff. Other guests had also been moved because of overbooking, and the receptionist said it had happened before. The room itself was disappointing. There are no bathroom photos, and I can see why: it’s extremely small, with a shower that’s just a wall faucet and no proper shower area. The TV didn’t work, though they said they’d try to fix it. The mini fridge was inside the wardrobe, barely cooled anything, and leaked a lot of water. The terrace breakfast photos are misleading too, since breakfast is actually served at the owner’s other hotel. I also didn’t find the surroundings safe or pleasant. There are bars behind the hotel where gambling games are played, and a mosque directly opposite with a loudspeaker aimed at the windows. The call to prayer woke me at 6 a.m. each morning.

The admin guy was especially helpful, carrying our luggage to the bus station and helping us find the bus to Otogar. The staff showed great hospitality, and the hotel is close to attractions and public transport. It’s right in front of a mosque, which is great for Muslims. Breakfast on the rooftop had a lovely view and was tip top. Really recommend it for tourists. Love from Malaysia.

The rooftop is nice, the rooms are good, and everything felt professionally cleaned. The bed sheets were new, it’s pet friendly, and the location is perfect. Thanks, guys, nice job. English and Turkish were a bit of a challenge, but the service was very kind. If you want less noise, pick a table marked “silence please.” I slept well.

The rooftop space is great, and the guys working there are nice. You can hear every sound in the hotel through the doors, so those really need replacing. For the price, it’s passable.
