Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Istanbul Hotel Sultanahmet

Dining at Elite Armada Restaurant, just below the hotel, was a real highlight. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the live music each evening made for a warm, memorable atmosphere. Our room at Ramada by Wyndham Istanbul Sultanahmet was clean and comfortable, and the staff were both professional and friendly. The location also worked perfectly for seeing Istanbul’s historic sights. Great food, hospitality, and entertainment together. Highly recommended!”

We visited with family in April and were very pleased with our stay at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Istanbul. Breakfast was included and had a great range of food each morning. The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, with housekeeping doing a great job daily and fresh towels supplied every day. Staff across the hotel were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely book again, and would recommend it to families coming to Istanbul.

The Turkish bath session was a terrible experience. The water cut off completely while I was covered in foam, leaving us embarrassed and uncomfortable. Staff tried contacting technical service, but no one arrived for a long time, so we had to dry off with towels and leave before finishing. The facilities were also in shocking shape, with mold, water damage, peeling paint, cracks, and holes across the walls and ceilings. For a hotel offering spa and wellness services, it looked unhealthy and unsafe. To me, this showed poor management, a lack of hygiene, and disregard for guest comfort and safety. I would never recommend the RAMADA Hotel. One of the worst examples of hotel management I've seen.

We couldn't sleep properly any of the nights because rooms next to us and upstairs were so noisy. I complained more than three times, but nothing was done. I also contacted the hotel through Booking and got no answer. When I asked about laundry, they refused to take it because I didn't have cash. I felt they didn't want card payment to avoid taxes, and the woman rudely told me to take my laundry and go. The building is old, unlike other Ramada hotels I've stayed at in different countries, which were newer. Nothing was offered to make up for the bad stay. It may be listed as five stars, but in my view it isn't even a two-star hotel. I do not recommend it at all.
