Ring Stone Hotels Bosphorus

Breakfast was a highlight, with a good range of food and a lovely view from the dining area. The hotel is right in front of sishane metro station on istiklal street, so it’s very convenient for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helped make the stay comfortable. Ms. Alev deserves special mention. She clearly cares about guests’ comfort and goes beyond expectations to keep things running smoothly. Having her at reception gave the place a reassuring, welcoming feel.

The bathroom design made showers a mess. The floor was flat, with no partition separating the shower from the rest of the room, so the whole bathroom flooded each time. The sliding bathroom door wouldn’t close fully and had no lock, so we had to hold it in place with a chair. We were on the first floor, and noise from the bar directly below carried into the room at night even with the windows shut. We asked to move, but they said the hotel was full, although I saw housekeeping cleaning a room then. There were other problems too: hair on the bed and towel, a very dusty remote, and a strangely short closet where clothes couldn’t be hung properly. There were too many issues. Don’t book or even consider it. It’s ridiculous to offer a room like this as a 4-star hotel.

We booked a hotel transfer to the airport for €60 and clearly specified which of Istanbul’s two airports we needed. The right airport was even written on the transfer receipt, but the driver took us to the wrong one. We had to get another taxi and buy new flight tickets, costing us nearly €800 in total. The hotel is refusing to reimburse us. The case is still ongoing with Booking.com. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel. The staff acted in very bad faith.

The panoramic dining room had an incredible view, and the illuminated bathroom mirror was a lovely detail. Our room was stylish, beautiful, and clean, and we had no problems during our four nights. Everyone at reception was warm and friendly. A special mention to Alev, who was always helpful. We loved the stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend.
