The location is said to be eight minutes from transport, and that's true, but there's a steep hill to climb that could be tough even for young people. The staff were friendly and nice, and the quality was reasonable for the price. My room was clean and good, though the shower was missing its head. Ps: A little girl near the hotel was trying to drown a kitten. Please smack her if she does it again. Thank you :)

Great experience, with respectful staff and a low price. It's close to public transport and tourist spots, and was the best hotel in every way.

Stay away from Tree House Otel, it was a total disaster. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and completely untrained. The manager was useless, with no apology or accountability. We first checked in at Riverland Suites, where the staff welcomed us. They didn't have enough rooms, so they “recommended” their partner, Tree House Otel, and we booked two rooms there. On 07.08.2025, the staff entered my mother's room without permission, went through her personal belongings, and kicked her out without notice, moving her to another room without her consent or explanation. The only good part was Ramazan from Riverland Suites, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He came with us, helped us check out of that nightmare, and took us back to Riverland, where we were treated with respect. A -5 star experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

The only small downside was hearing the mosque near the hotel each morning, though I think that's common in every Istanbul neighbourhood. There are supermarkets and shops nearby where you can buy Turkish delights for less than at the Spice Bazaar. The hotel is in a quiet, nice area, about a 10-minute walk from historical places. Staff were always smiling, friendly, helpful, and knew English. My room was clean and very warm in winter. Love from Greece.

Update, 11 September 2023: The manager moved me to a clean, nice room after my first review, though it was a little noisy. The refrigerator still didn't work. The whole team kept offering assistance, which was a big plus, and the stay ended up OK. I'd rate the experience 6+ out of 10 and would recommend it for a short, low-budget trip. Original review, 4th of September 2023: The room was dirty, the walls had stains and scratches, and the old furniture wasn't in good shape. The refrigerator did not work at all, and breakfast wasn't included. I wouldn't recommend it, even for a low-budget vacation.
