Kenan gave us several interesting suggestions for places to visit, and we had some good conversations with him. The whole staff were excellent, and breakfast at the hotel was delicious. We spent five nights here and had a fantastic stay. The nearest Istanbul attractions are very close, while public transport or even walking can get you to places farther away. We’ll definitely come back to Saruhan Hotel next time we’re in Istanbul. Great place!

The rooftop terrace breakfast was included, and it’s a lovely way to start the day while looking out over the city. Keep an eye on your food, though, the gulls may go for it. I stayed at the Saruhan twice and found it great value, especially with a room that has a view. It was years ago, but I still remember walking around the nearby shopping districts in the evening, bringing back baklava, and listening to the call to prayer from my balcony at sunset.

Small, very basic room, but the views are beautiful. Laundry costs 3 euros per Kg. Drop it off early in the morning and your clothes are back clean by mid afternoon.

The breakfast buffet is AMAZING, and the woman preparing it is so kind, always smiling and so welcoming. Everyone on staff is friendly and seems to care about the guests. The rooms are super tidy and clean, and the hotel has a warmth you can feel even on the coldest winter nights ❤️❤️❤️

We only had a short, focused vacation, but came away with such pleasant, interesting experiences. What a wonderful country and such lovely people. Food with savory, subtle flavors, lots of teas, coffees made on the sand, and hookah, or nargile, that seems to slow time. It was "çok kalabalık", super crowded, too. The hotel is excellently placed for major attractions: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the little Hagia Sophia, the Cisterns, and the spices bazaar and Grand Bazaar about 15 minutes away on foot. Tram 1 is close by and makes it easy to reach other important places like Taksim and the church Vlaherne. Thank you!
