Sayeban Gold Hotel

The view is one of my favorite in Istanbul, maybe the best. The lovely family who runs the place made me feel at home away from home. The staff are warm and sincere, and you can tell they really care about how you’re doing during your stay. I’m usually not much of a breakfast person, but their amazing spread made sure I didn’t miss a day. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

The breakfast runs until 10:30, so there’s time to sleep in, and the view from there is really nice. The selection wasn’t especially varied, mostly cheese and salad, but it was okay and I can’t complain too much. Our room was clean when we arrived. The bathroom looked a bit old and had a strange smell, so we kept the door shut. The cleaning lady would leave it open again when she came in. Towels were changed daily, but the bathroom wasn’t cleaned well: once the trash wasn’t emptied, and I kept seeing hair on the floor or in the sink. The hotel sits near the center, at the end of a street with a lot of construction. There was a large construction hole across the road and renovation work on the neighboring building. Some work was going on in the hotel too, but it only started after breakfast, so it didn’t wake anyone. We were out most of the day and only heard it once, when we came back to the room during the day.

The location makes it easy to see a lot without needing transit. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the place is very clean. The A/C works well and isn’t noisy. Breakfast alone is worth it. I’ve had lots of great coffee over the years, and theirs is in my top three, with a beautiful city view.

The room was small but in good shape and decently comfortable. The location is very central and convenient, close to the Sirkeci metro station. The morning breakfast was good, and the rooftop terrace view was even better. Our family really enjoyed the stay, especially for the price. The front desk staff were extremely polite, friendly, and helpful.
