The staff were really kind and the location was excellent. Just watch the stairs, especially when it’s raining. The towel heater didn’t work, and breakfast was modest. Honestly, the coffee wasn’t great. Still, it was a very good stay.

Lovely sea views from the rooftop and at breakfast, which was moderate. Everything is within walking distance, so it’s a very good place. I’m giving five stars because of Mohammad’s service. One warning, the stairs are very steep. Handling my luggage gave me back pain that lasted several weeks.

The breakfast was lovely, and the woman serving it tried to help with everything, even though we didn’t understand each other’s words. The sea view is why I picked this hotel, and if you eat early enough you can see the sunrise on the horizon. Our booking was for the basement, which really was two floors below ground 😂. The usher kindly carried our bags and listened to our concerns. I hope the streetlights on the isle get brighter. My brother, who was staying at another hotel, had to accompany me whenever we walked back because it was so dark. One downside, I’d hoped they’d provide bottled water for each night of the stay. I asked at the counter, but he insisted they only give it on the first day.

The staff at seahouse suites were very polite and responsive. Breakfast was good, and the view and seating area were nice too. I really enjoyed the trip to istanbul.

HASAN and Mohamed at reception were the only reason I didn’t take this further and make a formal complaint. They tried hard to help and make us happy, understood us, and were genuinely amazing. The manager was the biggest problem beyond the rooms and everything else. He could have resolved things, refunded us, or at least been honest, but he chose to lie. His professionalism and character are lacking. Hearing him talk about his boss that way showed a lack of respect, and I wouldn’t want to be associated with him as an owner. We paid nearly €1,000 for the week and left two days early because the rooms, hygiene, maintenance, and management conduct fell below basic standards. We had booked a family suite and an economy basement room, and both were far from acceptable. The basement room smelled strongly stale, had yellow, unclean bedding, dust and old furniture, and a tiny bathroom with an unbearable odor. The door locked itself, the air conditioner was old and unused, and I developed a rash shortly after staying there. An Australian couple left minutes after seeing the rooms because of the dirt, hygiene, and smell, and because breakfast had rotten blue cheese and no eggs. Management told the receptionist they would tell Booking that the couple “never showed up.” The manager also took us to another hotel, showed reservation details with other guests’ information, and falsely said rooms were full. His reactions felt manipulative and unprofessional. He repeatedly complained about the owner, talked about monthly two-hour meetings, and said he had to be “quiet” in front of him. His treatment of the cleaning lady and other employees was very poor too. At first we wanted to leave but didn’t want to lose about €1,000. The replacement room had problems as well. Breakfast was poor and not fresh. Sometimes eggs weren’t available until late, and they reused the same oily pan. Once, fried eggs were cut up and shared among guests. When we asked for an omelette, the woman preparing food made faces. I asked many times for less oil, but she kept cooking her way. The food was the same all week, often refrigerated, and sometimes rotten. I took a photo of the blue cheese they served. I can’t recommend this property. The owner should address cleanliness, staff training, and guest-data privacy immediately.
