Şebnem Hotel

The rooms were outdated, the hotel was very basic, and the neighborhood felt sketchy. The host also kept pushing tours and overpriced packages, despite presenting himself as an honest guide, and it felt like we were being spammed with tourist traps. On top of that, whenever we saw him, he asked us to leave an excellent review. It got so exhausting that we felt pressured. I chose this hotel because of its reviews, but was disappointed that they didn’t seem genuine. There are plenty of better options, so don’t waste your time and money here.

The location was convenient, and the breakfast was nice, with friendly staff. But one of the owners or receptionists made us uncomfortable. Our first room had a very creaky bed and a broken shower, so we had to ask to move. The owner got annoyed when we skipped breakfast one day because we had other plans. They also pushed us hard to use their tours after we’d said no, and, as others have mentioned, pressured us to leave a good review right in front of them. Most of the staff were nice, though.

The area was a real highlight, with charming little streets lined with shops and the main tourist sights just a short walk away. Our stay was brief but lovely. Rurkis and Jacob were kind and helpful the whole time, and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch. If we come back to Turkey, we’ll most likely stay here again.

The rooms were charming, comfortable, and clean, and the main sights and good restaurants were an easy walk away. Jacob and Ali were wonderful hosts. They were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, shared lots of useful information, and quickly took care of what our family needed. We all had a lovely time and look forward to coming back.
