The room was fairly spacious and nicely decorated, with good AC, water pressure, and WiFi. But the lighting was poor: the room felt dark, and some fixtures didn’t work, so brighter bulbs and working lights are needed. It’s centrally placed among the tourist areas, handy for sites, restaurants, and shops. The street is steep and narrow, so our airport taxi had to drop us about 100m away. Day and night front desk staff were very friendly, spoke good English, and quickly sorted our requests. Our first day brought some problems with sheets and towels. They had stains, and the replacements weren’t much better. Room cleaning was uneven too. The cleaner was friendly, but the job wasn’t thorough. We stayed 9 days and had to ask for toiletries and toilet paper refills. The tea cup I used on day one was never washed during the stay, and toothpaste stains remained on the bathroom wall by the sink. The walls are very thin, and noise also comes through the vents, so soundproofing needs work. One night we could clearly hear everything when the girl next door had a train run on her.

I was impressed by how helpful and welcoming the service was. The manager even carried my luggage down a steep flight of steps so I could hail a taxi. My room was comfortable, breakfast kept me full, and the location was good. I was very pleased with my stay.

A small, cozy hotel with a really handy location. You can walk to all the sights, and there are plenty of food places nearby as well as a grocery store. The staff were helpful and happy to give advice on anything. There are a few minor flaws, but they didn’t affect my stay.

After my second stay, I can say again how gracious and helpful the staff are. Nariman at the front desk was especially kind. The furnishings are luxe and comfortable, and the location is great, but it’s the staff’s attitude that makes the difference and will bring me back whenever I’m in Istanbul. The rooms are comfortable too.

Loved staying here. Galata Tower is right up the steps, and Hagia Sophia is close enough to reach on foot across the bridge. The facilities were all good, and I especially liked the mirror and toilet. Go for breakfast and take in the lovely rooftop view!
