Sirkeci Family Hotel

The location is good, and one of the two rooms we booked was pretty good. The other was terrible, unlike the pictures, with a moldy ceiling and not enough light. It's a very basic budget hotel.

We stayed seven days and then booked one more day through booking.com. The hotel is very close to Marmaray, which makes it easy to cross to the Asian side. Thanks to Ester, Siraj, and Ayhan for being so helpful and hosting us so warmly. Selda & Michaël

For a budget hotel, this is a good option for families. The room is small, but having a lift makes things easier. There's a tea-making setup and a small fridge, and the beds were comfortable enough for me. The area is quiet at night. I'd really recommend having dinner at Nova Roma restaurant nearby.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but we were extremely disappointed with the rest. The photos have nothing to do with the actual hotel. Our bathroom smelled awful, there was wet toilet paper on the floor, and the windows wouldn't open, so we were stuck with the smell. The sheets were dirty and stained, with hair on them. We had to go out and buy our own sheets and towels. There were bugs, mostly cockroaches. I even woke up with one on my bed. I watched it crawl around until I found a hole with a bunch more and stuffed it with things. Nobody wants to sleep with cockroaches. The bathroom had mold everywhere, one ceiling tile was missing, and another was barely hanging on. Like another reviewer said, save your trip and don't stay here.
