The elevator was out of service for four days, so guests had to use the personnel elevator. A luxury hotel should maintain its facilities better. I was also disappointed by how Meric at the Swissôtel Bosphorus Istanbul reception handled questions about the deposit and extra charges. His explanation was unclear, and his sarcastic, dismissive tone made me uncomfortable. When I raised the issue with management, nobody apologized or seemed to take corrective action, and Meric continued to act arrogantly. Guests paying premium rates expect professional service and well-maintained facilities. I hope management takes the feedback seriously, improves staff training, and works on the overall guest experience.

My experience at the hotel was unforgettable, especially at the rooftop called “16 Roof.” The atmosphere was beautiful, and the views were stunning. Special thanks to Zeynep from 16 Roof for her warm hospitality. She was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout the visit, and her kindness made it even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved the hotel, everything felt perfect, and I highly recommend it.

The team made it so hard to leave that I wished I’d spent my whole time there. I adored the stay and was genuinely sad it ended so soon. The room was immaculate, and both the cleanliness and service stayed excellent even though the hotel was packed and hosting VIP events. The marketing team, Zeineb and Ipek, had that rare attitude of doing whatever they could to make guests happy. Their generosity showed in every detail, and they responded quickly despite being extremely busy. The lady concierge managed to find things even ChatGPT couldn’t track down. Lauretta, the wonderful hostess manager, made me feel instantly at home, like an old friend had dropped by. That spirit reflects the leadership of general manager Utkan Gulacti. To me, a hotel is its people as much as its brand, and this whole team feels like a group of stars. They deserve sincere applause for their attention to detail and dedication. Please keep up the good work. I can only see myself staying here next time, and I hope to see them soon.

The property itself is beautiful, with exceptional views, an excellent location, and plenty to admire. But we planned a 10-day stay at the Swissôtel, and the experience fell short of what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. The reception and guest relations were the biggest disappointment. The front desk seemed disorganized, communication varied, and promises to guests weren’t kept. Some reception staff lacked basic hospitality and professional guest handling skills. For a hotel presented as a luxury five-star destination, the poor professionalism and service were surprising, and caused frustration during a stay that should have been relaxing. A luxury hotel is judged by how guests are treated as well as by its building and views, and this is where it seriously let us down.
