I’m writing this after moving hotels, from an actual soundproof room. The supplier eventually refunded the remaining three nights, but only after a long back-and-forth. Expedia reviewed the case and approved our request, yet said the hotel still had to authorize it, and that permission was refused. Mr. Tufan and Mert Erdoğan had also declined to refund us so we could change hotels, despite being told within 10 minutes of check-in. They said any resolution had to go through the supplier. We gave up around 9:00 PM and stayed that night because we had early meetings and couldn't face relocating. The noise was just as bad overnight as during the day. You can hear neighboring rooms, reception conversations, the elevator, and activity throughout the building. There is essentially no soundproofing, which directly contradicts the room being marketed as a soundproof suite. At check-in the welcome was kind and the room looked pretty, but the room itself became a nightmare. I could hear every bit of personal information spoken at reception, as well as every guest arriving and using the elevator. Nothing in the room had been used when we asked to switch hotels. The only solution offered was to pay double for an “upgrade”. This noise and lack of transparency are unacceptable. I hope future guests can make an informed decision. If you love loudness and are okay with management that seems to have no sense of caring, go for it. Otherwise, there are hundreds of other options in Istanbul.

The view from the fifth-floor room was awesome. The location also makes getting around easy: the hotel is close to the pier, so you can cross to the Asian side or head toward the old town. Staff were helpful with the information you need as a tourist and available 24/7. A great place to stay if you're visiting Istanbul for the first time. Definitely recommend it.

The apartment was very clean and stylish, and the daily cleaning service was much appreciated. The staff were charming and helpful, and the apartment stayed incredibly quiet at night despite the busy area around it. The block of apartments is close to the Galeta Tower, with lots of tourist cafés nearby. For essentials, Migros Jet is only a two-minute walk away, with things like water, wine, beer, croissants, and other basics. Walk down the hill to Karakoy tram station by Galata Bridge for a few stops to the main mosques, museums, and Basilica Cistern. On the way back, the F2 Tunel inclined railway up to Beyoglu saves you the steep climb. We wanted a comfortable base for our week in Istanbul, and this was perfect.

I was traveling solo, working remotely, and relaxing between international motorcycling trips. Louis worked perfectly for me, right in the heart of the Galata Tower area, where I could find food and drinks at nearly any hour. My first-floor suite had a comfortable bed, kitchenette, and a good-sized bathroom, with plenty of room to work, edit, and repack without feeling boxed in. It would suit couples or anyone expecting to spend a lot of time in the room. The room was beautiful and very well maintained, with no dust on the walls or hanging lights. Despite being just off a busy street, it was surprisingly quiet. The WiFi stayed consistent day and night, and the AC worked perfectly. I paid $330 for three nights in early September, very affordable for the room and location. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to requests. I’d highly recommend it to anyone comfortable with the hills while exploring.
