Taksim Celebi Residence

The suite was calm and comfortable despite being close to Taksim Square, public transport, restaurants, and shops. My room was clean, well kept, and matched the photos. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Housekeeping pays attention to the details. I had a great stay at Taksim Celebi Suites.

The room was really comfortable for two, and the bathroom had hot water and good shower pressure. The man at the desk was friendly and helpful, and even gave us a free upgrade to a balcony room when we arrived. Taksim Square is a very short walk away, with convenience stores and great restaurants close by. For the quality and location, the value is amazing. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and good value.

I'm suspicious of all the positive reviews. The hotel's in what felt like the slums of Istanbul, a street away from the city's most dangerous drug dealing district. The elevator and hallway are small and smell bad, and the rooms were a disaster, nothing like the pictures. I had to cancel because staying there was unbearable. Stay away.

I stayed for eight days and enjoyed it. The room was clean and spacious enough, with a kettle, microwave oven, and a place to cook. Omar, the owner, was very helpful. I'd like to stay at this hotel next time.
