After a long trip from Crete, we found the room filthy and in a terrible state. There was dust and garbage in the main room, and hair and urine in the bathroom. The hallway smelled so awful it made us feel sick. These aren’t suites, they’re a joke. We politely asked for a refund or another solution, but they refused, so we had to find a different hotel in the middle of the night. I call them thieves. Nobody should stay here. There are better and cheaper places in Istanbul, so be careful.

We thought we’d walked into a campsite when we saw the rooms. The place smelled like a cesspool, and everything looked yellow from urine. There was no service at all, and when we asked for our money back after less than ten minutes, all we got was sarcasm. Maybe this place was meant for pets and we got it wrong. Looking back, I can laugh at how ridiculous it was. At least I lost money and not my health.

The apartment was great, and the location made it easy to get to a grocery shop and dry cleaning. The receptionist treated me amazingly, an honest and caring person. It’s luxurious and cheap, with a grocery store and laundry nearby. The older gentleman was excellent and helpful, and the prices through Booking.com were really low.

Everything was extremely clean, and the host was super friendly. It’s in a secure, family-oriented neighborhood, with a taxi stand and Taksim Square just two minutes away, the Metro five minutes away, and Istiklal caddesi seven minutes away. There’s also a grocery store, tailor, and laundry on the same street. The place has air conditioning, a TV, an iron, and wifi.

There’s no elevator, and the spiral staircase is dangerous to climb. I wouldn’t consider this suitable for families at all, though it might work for young people traveling alone.
