Taksim Mood

I arrived during the stated check-in hours, but nobody was there to let me in. The office was closed, and no one answered or showed up. I waited outside for almost an hour, and I have photo and video proof. Then I had to walk around late at night and book another hotel at a much higher price. Even though the property hadn't provided check-in, it refused to cancel the booking or take responsibility. It was a very stressful and disappointing experience. Be careful before booking, and beware of fake positive reviews.

I left immediately because the accommodation wasn't habitable. When I arrived on January 6, there was a strong smell that seemed to come from a broken pipe and sanitation problems, and I didn't stay. Before I arrived, hotel staff had contacted me via WhatsApp asking for cash payment outside Booking.com's system. My credit card was charged afterward anyway, and the property wouldn't cooperate with a refund. A very poor, unprofessional experience. I don't recommend it.

The street noise is the main problem. Insulation is poor, so loud music, shouting, and bass carry on through the night. The heating wasn't strong enough on colder nights, and the Wi-Fi was quite weak. There are also very few power outlets. On the plus side, cleaning was done almost daily, and there’s an elevator. The room came with a kettle, tea, glasses, a fridge, slippers, and soap, which was a nice touch. The location is excellent, with lots of cafes and shops around and Istiklal just a two-minute walk away. Good stay, and I’d probably come back.

Great location and service overall. The employees and receptionist were great, and the room was amazing for this price range.
