Taxim Elegance Suites

I spent five nights here and found the hotel clean, with spacious rooms. It sits right in the city center, just a few minutes on foot from Taksim Square. There are clean, pleasant restaurants by the entrance and nearby, taxis wait on the street to the right of the door, and public transport is close too. Prices were very cheap when I visited, and the location was the most convenient part of the whole area.

The pictures make this place look much better than it is. My room was very dirty, smelled of cigarettes, and had slow Wi-Fi. The neighborhood was awful, with homeless people around and screaming at all hours. Police and emergency services seemed to be regular visitors. I can't recommend it.

For the price, it's a nice enough place, though it doesn't look like the photos and seems poorly maintained.

I was hoping for something better. The bleach smell hurt my lungs, and there wasn't a door on the shower.
