The Little Prince hotel

The location is convenient, but the street is noisy at night, with honking vehicles and people shouting. Inside, the room felt unsafe: exposed electrical sockets, mold in the shower, damaged beds, insects that looked like small cockroaches, and an air conditioner that didn't work. I didn't see bed bugs on the mattress, but I checked out after one night and didn't even shower. I kept my clothes in the fridge just in case. At this price, I wasn't expecting luxury. A simple, clean room with a bed, white walls, a window, and a normal shower would have been fine. Instead, the hotel presents itself as something better, with attractive photos that don't match the rooms. By my standards, this place is a health risk, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. When I was shown the room, the guy had the nerve to say, "Hope we'll get a nice review from you on booking!" What a joke. I don't have a personal issue with the staff, and I understand the owner may be taking every penny out of the business. But the rooms could be stripped back and cleaned properly. That could make this a nice little hotel and bring in more money.

We had booked a family room, but the whole place was infested with countless bedbugs and cockroaches. We left immediately and asked for our money back. An employee said the refund needed approval from the boss, then kept stalling, apparently hoping we'd leave the country. A day later, the hotel stopped responding to our WhatsApp messages and still hadn't refunded us. The room itself also needed major repairs. The furniture was broken, the plumbing needed replacing, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. We had been willing to put up with those problems given the price and location, but the insects were the last straw. The people running this hotel seem like scammers. I absolutely don't recommend staying here. Along with the filthy conditions, you may also face deception and fraud. It's the worst hotel I know.

The location made it easy to explore Taksim, with the main street within walking distance. There's also an elevator, so you don't have to keep taking the stairs, and the hotel has the facilities I needed, including air conditioning and a hair dryer. The staff were friendly and helpful, including with questions about local transport and sightseeing. Breakfast was freshly made each day and really tasty. I could drink as much Turkish coffee as I wanted each morning. I'd definitely recommend "Grand Prince Hotel" to anyone looking for warm service and a chance to enjoy the local nightlife.

We stayed in June after booking through booking.com, and ended up trying four different rooms because every one had insects. The staff were rude and the service was bad. When we asked to cancel, they refused to refund us and kicked us out. We contacted booking, but unfortunately they didn't respond. A truly awful hotel.
