The service was very nice, and the location was good, but our room was small. We couldn't control the temperature ourselves. We were told the hotel keeps the heating on until May 15th, so if it's hot on May 14th, you're out of luck except for opening the window. They did bring us a fan. Before the restaurant opens, the owners could try holding cooking classes there. Guests might enjoy them, and it could bring the restaurant some evening business.

The rooftop terrace was a lovely setting for breakfast each morning, and the food was delicious. Our bedrooms were beautiful and romantic, and everything was super clean. The staff were kind and helpful too. Probably the best hotel in Istanbul, hands down.

The rooms were very clean, breakfast was fabulous, and the staff were friendly. I do recommend the hotel, but by European standards I'd call it three stars rather than five. One morning someone was vacuuming outside our door at 8:30am, when we wanted to sleep until 9am. The neighbors were also loud in the middle of the night, so I had to put in my noise-cancelling ear plugs to get back to sleep. It's a great place to stay, just expect a little less than the description promises.

We stayed five nights at Magnaura Palace Hotel at the ending of February for my girlfriend's birthday. She'd never been to Istanbul, and I wanted it to be a special trip. The hotel really delivered. It sits on a quiet, cobbled street between Agyia Sofia and the Blue Mosque, and the whole place was a treat to look at, from reception to our room. The Turkish decorations, paintings, and rugs left my girlfriend mesmerized. Every morning we had breakfast on the top floor, with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus over our coffee. The staff were incredible, so nice and polite, and gave us useful tips for the places we wanted to visit. Magnaura Palace made our trip feel perfect. We're excited to come back to the hotel and Istanbul, a beautiful city with great people and so much to do, see, and eat.

We were very impressed. Our corner room was a good size, with a great shower and views across to Asia, though it was a little dated. The hotel itself is small, clean, and quiet, and every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. It's ideally placed in Sultanahmet, with the main Istanbul visitor sites just a short walk away and the metro nearby for trips farther out. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of options, and the breakfast room looks out at the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bosphorus.
