The location is amazing, with all kinds of stores and restaurants close by, about 1-10 minutes away. The rooms are cozy and fine, just don’t expect anything fancy. The people here are so kind, offering tea and sometimes sweets. If there’s an issue with your room, they’ll switch you without questions. There’s also a sauna room.

The staff are extraordinary, genuinely kind, and quick to help if someone has a problem. I could see myself becoming great friends with them. The hotel also sits in what’s probably the best spot for visiting the old city and pretty much every Istanbul highlight. I’m giving it four stars because the rooms and bathrooms could be better, and the place needs renovation. The walls are the biggest issue: I could hear the couple next door so loudly that I was kept awake almost every night until 2 or 3 AM.

I’ve never seen a more disgusting place in my life. It’s nothing like the photos, and it feels like somewhere out of a horror movie. Don’t stay here. It doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel.

Ayhan was especially sweet, generous, and attentive. He quickly helped sort out an issue in my room and was always responsive. I had a wonderful stay at Turvan Hotel during my vacation, thanks in large part to the kind and helpful staff. Some areas could use renovation, but the location and service are excellent, and I’d still highly recommend it.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. The worst hotel in the world, dirty, with cockroaches and bedbugs. Don’t stay here.
