Taksim Square is only about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a grocery store opposite the hotel that seemed to stay open 24/7. From the square, the airport takes about 35 minutes by public transport and costs around 150TL (£3) with an Istanbul card. It’s one bus, then the M11 underground. Getting to the main tourist spots, including the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, takes about the same time and costs about the same. I also liked seeing cats on the way around, so bring a few treats if you want to feed them. 😻 I paid around £110 for three nights in a room with a private bathroom, sink, and fridge, with breakfast included. For a budget hotel, that worked well. I was travelling alone, and I’d book it again if I came back solo. The bathroom is tiny, just enough room for the shower, toilet, and sink, so with family I’d probably choose somewhere else. It suits solo budget travellers and backpackers, as long as you don’t expect 4- or 5-star accommodation for a 2-star price. The staff were great overall and manager Byram was very helpful. One of the women in the kitchen did seem grumpy much of the time, though.

Breakfast was included, and the price felt reasonable for what we got. Our room had four beds even though there were three of us, so it was roomy and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities offered good value. I did notice there was no bottled water in the room, and the daily cleaning could have been more thorough.

The location worked really well, close to the metro, central Taksim, and the souk. The food was delicious, the rooms were great, and everyone there was so friendly and lovely. The service was perfect. I love this hotel, everything was perfect.

The elevator and stairs didn’t seem to meet safety standards, and I wasn’t satisfied with the restaurant hygiene. Breakfast options were very limited. My room wasn’t clean, and most of the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, though the reception staff were an exception. I was very disappointed with the stay, 1/10.

The room had problems with the lighting, and there was a lot of noise from the sewage that you could hear from inside. The bathrooms are very small. The area felt unsafe and was very bad, and the food quality wasn’t good. The hotel itself was unpleasant and bad. I really don’t recommend going there.
