Zagreb Hotel

The biggest problem for us was privacy: housekeeping came into the room without knocking while we were inside. There were sometimes unpleasant smells in the hotel and even in the room. COVID/quarantine notices were still posted around the property, making the place feel outdated. Renovation on the first floor also left the entrance inconvenient and unfinished, with reception on the second floor, although there is an elevator. The location is very good for sightseeing, with a safe-feeling area, tram lines and public transport nearby, and many main attractions within walking distance. The price is reasonable, staff are generally friendly and helpful, early check-in was appreciated, and breakfast was complimentary on arrival day. Wi-Fi was acceptable. We knew in advance the room would be small, but the layout made it unnecessarily hard to move around. The large boxed TV took up too much space, and the old furniture looked worn and, in places, dirty. Breakfast had some variety but the food quality was quite poor. It may work for a short visit focused on location and exploring the city, but isn't ideal if you want comfort, cleanliness, or a modern setting.

The balcony was the best part, with a stunning sea view and a peaceful place to sit with morning coffee or unwind after exploring. The room itself was spacious, and its elegant decor made it feel warm and inviting. Staff were always friendly and ready to help with questions, and their attention to detail added to the stay. The amenities were impressive too, including a well-maintained pool where you could lounge. I had a fantastic time and wholeheartedly recommend it for a serene getaway with beautiful views. I look forward to returning.

We had a good stay from 20/26 October 2025. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was different with lots of choice. The pool was heated and open, with staff on hand. It's close to attractions and easy to get around on foot. The room was okay, though it could do with updating.

I really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the water, and my room was lovely. The location was perfect, right beside markets and restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful during my wonderful one-night stopover at the Zagreb Hotel. Highly recommend it!
