Zeynep Sultan Hotel

The room felt like a Parisian hotel inside, and it was new, clean, comfortable, and beautifully done. I picked this place for its convenient location and had a really enjoyable stay. The main tourist sights are all about a 5-15 minute walk away. Staff were very friendly too. It’s good value if you want to be well located.

I’ll book here again next time. The breakfast terrace has a lovely view of Hagia Sofia, and the rooms are quiet, well equipped, and a reasonable size. It’s right in the historic center, with tram, ferry, and metro nearby, yet the hotel itself stays completely quiet on a calm side street. A great base for sightseeing.

The staff checked on me each morning and asked how I was healing, and I miss the place so much. My parents and I stayed for seven days at the end of June 2025, while I was recovering from rhinoplasty. They were wonderful throughout. I’d constantly ask for ice after surgery, and they never seemed annoyed. They even bought me an ice pack themselves. We arrived around 02:30am after booking through booking.com, and the hotel had provided a free airport transfer. The man at the desk was lovely and carried our suitcase to the room. We loved the room, and they cleaned it, changed the linens, and refreshed it during our stay. My mom and dad especially enjoyed the plentiful breakfast on the terrace, with its lovely view of the Hagia Sofia. It’s a small hotel, and guests in other rooms chatted with each other, so you get to meet people. They also serve unlimited tea and coffee on the terrace from 5pm to 7pm. Everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. I’m hoping to return to Istanbul next year and stay at Zeynep Sultan Hotel again.

My sister and I spent a week here, and the big draw was how close it is to all the main sights. Everything was a 5 to 15 minute walk, so we never needed a bus, tram, or taxi. Our room was on the small side, but we managed fine with two large and two smaller suitcases. Breakfast was plentiful, though geared more toward Eastern Europeans, with lots of cheeses and cold meats. The room was serviced daily, but could have been a little cleaner. Still, if you want a great location and good value, this hotel works very well.
