Life Artemis Bornova

There was a lovely lemon tree in the little garden, visible from the large balcony. Inside, my room was clean and comfortably warm, with a king-size bed, sofa, chairs, small dining table, wardrobe, Wi-Fi, hot shower, towels, shampoo, and soap. I had booked online after receiving photos, amenities, and the price. When I arrived, Mr.İlker at reception welcomed me warmly, offered tea and coffee, and chatted with me. He was gentle and positive. My girlfriend and I stayed five days at LIFE ARTEMIS, and I rate it as a five-star stay. I'd highly recommend it to anyone staying in Bornova.

I couldn't sleep until about 5 am from sheer exhaustion, with mosquitoes constantly coming in through the windows that were always open. Closing them wasn't an option because the air conditioning didn't work. There was hair from the previous guest in the bed, too. In the bathroom, water leaked from under the shower head across the floor, and the toilet hadn't been cleaned despite a sign saying it had. The flush didn't work unless you punched it. Cat urine smell hit as soon as you entered the garden and continued inside, then the room smelled like a toilet. I gave up on my prepaid three-night booking and started looking for another hotel the next day. I've stayed in at least 50 hotels in Türkiye, and this was my worst experience.

The old furnishings and poorly kept rooms made us want to leave as soon as possible. Some radiators barely heated, though reception did try to help with a few problems. At least it's close to the metro and city center.

My back and neck hurt the next morning after I had to sleep on a couch that was falling apart. When I asked for a pillowcase, they handed me one covered in cat poop. The staff were grumpy and didn't care when I had a problem. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
