Royal Ramblas Resort & Spa Hotel

The best facility among the city's hotels.

We were there June 30th to July 1st, and I'm glad I didn't let the reviews here put me off. I booked through Otelz, paid no deposit, and had no booking problems. The hotel is right in the center. We parked on the sidewalk outside, though there seemed to be spaces on the side streets too. The staff member at reception was very polite and friendly, and our room was ready even though we arrived well before check-in. The room was about 10 m2 and small, but clean. The bed linen, toilet, and shower cabin were all spotless, despite what some reviews said. The elevator was being renovated, so we had to use the stairs, which was a bit annoying. Smoking isn't allowed in the rooms, but it smelled as if previous guests had smoked. The smell was still there when we arrived, even with the windows open and the air conditioning on. The lighting could be a little better, and the bathroom ventilation needs work. Shower steam and toilet smells hung around for hours. Those weren't things that ruined our stay, though. For the price and quality, I think I'd come back. Thanks for everything.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels in Türkiye, and I can't recommend this one. I was there for two weeks for work only because my company had booked it. The rooms were freezing because the heating didn't work properly. I asked four times about the cold and requested a room change, but nothing was done. Each room seemed to have a different issue: a broken toilet seat, a missing shower door, or a partly broken shower head. My colleague got a room with a broken window covered in plastic on the first night. He would have had to stay there in the middle of winter if we hadn't complained. Don't expect much from breakfast.

The room and bathroom were dirty and dark, the sockets didn't work, and the rooms weren't adequate for guests' comfort. Insulation was awful. On a rainy day, water might come through the ceiling while you're asleep. The manager was a bully. I left early without breakfast. The place is far too expensive for this quality, since there are much better hotels for less. Don't complain about the ceiling, though, because you could be insulted or even beaten.
