The breakfast had plenty of options, and there’s a restaurant for lunch and dinner as well. The rooms are a decent size, so it’s easy to move around even with suitcases open. They were quiet and clean, with towels changed daily and sheets every three days. It’s a good, clean hotel close to Kutahya center.

UPDATE: The hotel eventually got back to me after my review and confirmed the duplicate charge would be reversed. It was, so I’ve changed my rating from two stars to four out of five. The only remaining issue was how long the room took to reach a comfortable temperature. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay. The location was the best part of my one-night stay. It’s right in the center of Kutahya’s core, a few minutes’ walk from the cafe streets and Sevgi Yolu. Bus lines are nearby, and the otogar is about a 10-minute taxi ride depending on traffic. My taxi driver took his sweet time working through the otogar parking lot to increase the fare, but that’s another matter. The room was okay, with a comfortable bed and a decent bathroom. But the AC took five or six hours to bring the temperature below 20°C, after I arrived to find it at 25°C, or 77°F. I’d paid in full through Booking.com, but Hilton charged a different credit card twice. The front desk person, whose English was very impressive, could see the duplicate charge and said they needed to contact their manager. I told them my bus was leaving Kutahya in about 45 minutes and asked whether I needed to wait. They said no, they’d call me. They never did, and the charge went from pending to posted. I contacted them through Booking.com later that day and got no response. I followed up on Sunday, August 31. As of Thursday, September 4, 2025, I still hadn’t heard from the hotel by Booking.com or WhatsApp. That was extremely disappointing, both because Turkish hospitality is often considered among the best in the world and this didn’t match what I expected or had experienced before, and because Hilton is a fantastic brand. I started a dispute with my credit card company to reconcile the charge, since the hotel had refused to communicate with me. Based on the location and adequate room alone, I’d recommend staying here, but be very careful how you reserve.

The hotel is clean, the food is good, and the location is amazing. The only minor inconvenience is that you have to take the elevator twice to get out on foot, but it’s no big deal.

Breakfast was the highlight for us. There was a good spread of fresh fruit, vegetables, jams and spreads, plus hot items like chips, potato croquettes, and börek. The chef also cooked dishes live, and made us some nice food. The Kütahya-made ceramics used to serve the food were a lovely touch. Betül, the guest relations host, greeted us and other guests by name. She was warm and attentive, and made breakfast especially pleasant. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The Wi-Fi was impressively fast, and the elevator and air conditioning worked smoothly throughout the stay. We ordered room service too, a walnut and blue cheese salad, a fruit juice drink, and wine. The salad looked good and tasted fresh. The hotel has a fitness center, but we didn’t visit it, so I can’t comment on it. The overall atmosphere at Hilton Garden Inn in Kütahya was adequate, though nothing really stood out when we arrived. We checked in late at night. Reception handled it professionally, but may have been tired, which could explain the lack of enthusiasm. The place has a business-like, corporate feel, with a few nods to local tradition through the Kütahya-made ceramics around the hotel. Compared with other Hilton locations, the experience felt average. Check-in didn’t include an especially warm welcome or any standout moment.
