Palm Dor Hotel

The buffet meals were absolutely amazing, and we thought the stay was 100% good value for money. The room was pleasant and clean, with a comfortable bed, and the beach was nice and close. I loved the place and will visit again. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Palm d'Or and hope to come back later this year. The food was really fresh and fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful even though they didn't speak much English. It was very quiet, with only about 12 guests while we were there. The hotel has just been refurbished: fresh paint, updated bathrooms, new air conditioning, and new beds with brand new sheets. We liked the location, about a 10-minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to shops and bars.

We are staying here now, and this hotel is really bad. The slides are only open in the afternoon, and although they promise mountains of gold, there's hardly anything here. No fitness room, no disco, and the playground is overgrown with weeds. The food is the same every day and not at all European. The pool closes at 7:30, and they actually send you out. Late breakfast supposedly runs until 11:30, but by 10 everything is gone and shut. Around meal times, staff make a lot of noise and switch off the lights. We tried to shower but had no hot water; reception said we'd have to wait an hour because they were too busy. This really isn't acceptable.

The staff work hard, but speak no English, despite reportedly working about 60 hours a week for only 20,000 TL a month, around £463. As for the hotel, it is supposedly 4-star, but certainly doesn't feel that way and needs a lot of money spent on it. The all-inclusive drinks are very limited: only one of the three bars is operating, with lager, vodka, gin, whisky, cola or Sprite. Cocktails aren't included and cost £5.20 each, and they aren't made with proper fresh fruit juice. Food options are poor, with none of the snacks promised on the information sheet. WiFi isn't included in rooms or around the hotel; free WiFi is only in the lobby, where the air conditioning doesn't work. The pool is too hot, the water isn't refreshed, and there isn't enough chlorine. There is no fitness area, the spa is closed, and no shops are open.
