Royal Atlantis Beach

We all had a lovely holiday at the Royal Atlantis Beach Hotel, and I’d definitely return. The food and kitchen were excellent, with a great variety of fresh, clean dishes and lovely condiments. Service was outstanding. Our room did have problems that we reported, but they couldn’t be fixed. The sliding door was hard to lock, so it was easy to leave it unlocked while sleeping. The fridge didn’t work, and they already knew about it. The toilet flush was awkward too; you had to fiddle with it to stop water leaking, which wasted water. If possible, indoor pool hours could be extended, even if that required extra staff at the user's risk.

The beach is nearby and nice, and dinner was really good. Lunch was average, while breakfast was poor. I’d call this an okay hotel, closer to four stars than a European five-star rating. The noise in the evenings is unbelievable. Events by the pool come with music so loud you can’t sleep or relax. If your room is on the ground floor nearer the sea, you’ll hear annoying pool-speaker music all day whether you want to or not. If you have a child under two, or you’re sensitive to noise, this isn’t the place for you.

The garden leading down to the beach is lovely, and the room was very clean. I only used it to sleep, and it was perfectly good for that. Service was good too. The animation team has changed since last year, and Mir is a lot of fun. He chats with everyone every day and really gets guests involved in the activities.

The beach is right beside the hotel, which was a real plus, and we had a fun, peaceful stay with lovely local and international guests. We never got bored. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the setting has a nice, nature-friendly feel. It was our first visit, and everything else was excellent too. At lunch in the beach restaurant, I’d feel safer if the fruit, desserts, and salad were served in covered dishes for hygiene reasons. The staff always greeted us warmly and were helpful.
