Zerzevan Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the zerzevan hotel in Mardin. The view is lovely, breakfast was great, and Gulistan and the other hosts helped us with everything we needed. Would recommend!

The terrace café is cosy, and the view across Mardin is beautiful. Breakfast was generous and good quality, the staff were kind and respectful, and the prices were reasonable. It's also very close to the old town. Recommended.

The decor in the room was nice, it was decently clean, and this particular room stayed warm in winter. Its location beside reception, in an enclosed area, helped keep it warm. The terrace has a beautiful view. For a boutique hotel, the little details matter too. The bathroom smelled bad, and the hair conditioner left for us had already been half used. Breakfast was very limited: one scrambled egg, black olives, honey, tahin, yogurt, and greens. One worker quoted twice the price for a car rental, and when I checked online, the price was half of what he said.

You can't park close to the hotel, and the simple breakfast had no choices: scrambled eggs, olives, a piece of soft cheese, honey with butter in it, and bread. The room looked nice at first, but that was about the only plus. We were put next to reception, where the phone rang right by our heads and woke us several times overnight. There was no way to ventilate the room, so steam from the bathroom built up inside it. We asked to switch rooms and were refused. Communication with the staff through Google translator also left us with a lot lost in translation. Nice location, poor service.
