The apartment was large and very clean, and the location is handy, about 100 meters from the beach with supermarkets and bars nearby. But it’s noisy all night, and that was about the end of the good points for us. We stayed five nights, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m surprised jet2 approved it as accommodation, since I’m used to a better standard from them. We arrived at 4.30am after a delayed flight. The transfer bus left us at the top of the road, about a 50 meter walk away, and the poor lighting made the entrance hard to find. The night receptionist was asleep in a chair outside. He seemed unhappy to be woken and only said, “passports.” I own a holiday rental myself and take customer service seriously, so this was a very poor start. The apartment is extremely dated, with a basic kitchen: a kettle, two-burner hob, one frying pan, one pot, four glasses and four cups. The bathroom sink leaked, leaving the floor wet every morning. There’s no living-room light, only a plug-in lamp, so there’s no socket free to charge a phone. The sofa bed was so worn it nearly broke my back, and the two single beds were very uncomfortable and need replacing. There’s no WiFi or television except at the bar. The curtains were falling down and so thin that sunlight filled the room at 5am. Air conditioning costs £10 per day, with a seven-day minimum even for shorter stays. The unit couldn’t cool an apartment of that size, rattled all night, and made sleeping uncomfortable. I wondered if it needed attention, and there were no service stickers to help reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. I found the owner lacking in customer service and constantly moaning. It felt like staying with a relative. My father bought a small beer at the bar and was charged £9. After that we bought from the shop next door and drank on the balcony. There was no atmosphere at the apartment. The pool is tiny and pointless, with about 10 loungers around it. It’s in the shade for most of the day, so the water was very cold. Towels are changed every four days, which seems ridiculous in a hot country where people shower more often. You can’t flush toilet paper, so the bathroom can smell quickly in the heat. The shower wasn’t fit for purpose: you have to climb into the bath and avoid the badly fitting curtain, and the shower kept falling off the wall, so we had to hold it.

This is definitely at the lower end of accommodation, and I won’t be back. There’s no TV or internet in the rooms, so you have to sit in reception. Air conditioning costs £10 per day. I’ve been coming to Turkey for five years, and this was my first time in marmaris. Next year I’m going to Icmeler instead, which is far better.
After moving out of the Luna Beach Deluxe Hotel because it was a complete dump, this place felt like the total opposite. The accommodation was clean and calm, the staff attentive, and the location great. It’s actually restored my faith in Marmaris. Paul (Edinburgh, Scotland)
The apartments are brilliant, clean and spacious. The maid is lovely and comes in every day, and the management are really friendly. The location is fantastic, and there’s even a lift.
The room was large and the location was great, but the staff weren’t friendly. Air conditioning costs an extra £10 per night. I’d never come back.
