For the price, I thought the place was pretty good, and I don't really understand all the bad reviews. The food wasn't Michelin-star quality, but it was decent, with enough choices each day. There were salads, fresh fruit, pide, chicken shaorma, and more, so we didn't go hungry. Drinks had limited choices, but the cocktails had plenty of alcohol and the beer was good. Our room was large and clean, and we got fresh towels daily. The staff were amazing, helpful with everything, and very friendly, with a good level of English. Our flight was late, so they kept our luggage in a locked room while we went out in the morning. When we got back, they offered us a room to shower and change. We didn't spend much time by the pool, so I can't really comment on that. We hadn't come to Marmaris to sit in the hotel all day. There were cats around, but we're cat lovers and were glad to see they were well cared for. This isn't a high-end hotel, but we were happy and comfortable during our stay.

We came for the first time and have been really impressed. It's a well-used hotel, but clean, friendly, safe, family-friendly, and good value. The location is nice, with mountain views, about 15 minutes' walk from the beach, and there's a free shuttle bus during the day. Plenty of sunbeds, and the staff are always ready to help. The place is kept tidy, with staff outside cleaning, washing things down, and sweeping from 7am. Our room was spotless and the air conditioning kept it nice and cool. The beds were good, the showers were lovely, and housekeeping was friendly. The check-in guy was helpful and carried our luggage to the room. Facilities worked well for accessible needs. The pool is amazing, and the lifeguard was great with the kids on the slide today. Food and drinks were spot on for an all-inclusive holiday. There were lots of choices, including salads, cake, ice cream, waffles, pancakes, Turkish salads, nuggets, chips, chicken kebabs, and a nice fresh breakfast with yogurt, fruit, melon, cereal, and toast. We never went hungry. You do get some flies outside, but no more than at home or other resorts, and there weren't loads. The local beer was very nice and there were plenty of drink options. The cocktails and bar staff were lovely too. It's been a chilled holiday, and the other guests have been friendly and happy. We're quite picky, but haven't had any trouble here. I think people can be too judgmental. You get what you pay for with all-inclusive, and we've had a really good stay so far, with a few days still to go. It's not too busy, and we'll definitely come back. Reception managers, bar staff, and restaurant staff are all great workers.

The staff deserve real credit. They worked long, hard hours and stayed friendly and helpful even though they seemed to have little, if any, support from senior management. Their efforts helped make our time at the resort enjoyable, and I'm grateful to them. The hotel itself was run down and quite dirty, and it was a big disappointment. Even the banana trees looked like they'd given up. The food was mediocre and aimed at British tastes, with hardly any Turkish food, which I love. The location is stunning, but the hotel looked nothing like the website photos. We won't be going back.

Please read the online reviews before you consider booking. This felt more like a two-star hotel than the advertised four-star one. It was horrendous and filthy, and I can't think of anything positive about the hotel or holiday. I usually prefer to write about the good parts, but this place felt like a health hazard and unsafe for children. The website pictures weren't a true reflection of the hotel. During our seven days, it was barely cleaned. Dirty glasses and empty beer bottles were left out overnight and covered in ants. Floors were sticky from spilled drinks and discarded food, and guests could be extremely rowdy, sometimes violent toward one another. Orange juice spilled in the lift wasn't cleaned for three days. A used sanitary towel was also left in the lift, still there later that day. Dining tables were filthy, so we had to put tissues down. The last straw was seeing a rat near the lobby bar. The food was terrible and inedible. Guests got food poisoning after undercooked chicken was served, and the same-looking food appeared every day, as if it were leftovers from the previous day. My family and I couldn't eat there after the first day and had to eat out each night. Our rooms were dated and dirty, with wall stains and a clear need for redecoration. They were never cleaned, and no clean towels were provided. They also don't provide pool towels like most four-star hotels. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby or reception; to get it elsewhere, you had to buy a separate extension box for £35 a week. The reception manager was extremely rude and aggressive. My son misplaced our key card, and the manager refused to give us a replacement unless I paid £5. The reception staff seemed genuinely frightened of him. There were very few staff on duty, so queues for drinks at both bars were awful. The advertised gym and indoor pool were closed during our stay and apparently had been for some time, but the website never mentioned it. I also had serious health and safety concerns about the pool and slides. The pool was dirty, with plastic cups and dirt at the bottom. Children scratched themselves on exposed plastic joints on the slides. The slides were closed briefly once because they were considered too dangerous, then reopened the next day after minimal work. The hotel lets guests drink so much that there are regular fights. On most nights, drunken families were arguing in shared areas at 2am after a day of drinking. The main travel partners, On the Beach, handle excursions and trips at the hotel, which are sold by two reps, Bilal aka Tony and Jimmy. I found their prices £10-15 per person higher than the same trips outside the hotel. They made promises about amazing experiences that were much cheaper at local travel shops two minutes down the road, and they also misrepresented trip itineraries to persuade families to spend money. Save your money and don't stay here. It was a horrendous experience, as it was for every other guest I spoke to. The hotel isn't fit for purpose, should be downgraded to two stars, and needs cleaners.

At first, I enjoyed the place and told people it was what you made of it. The bar staff were great, the rooms were good, and in our case they were cleaned every day, despite reviews saying once a week. The food wasn't bad either. Then heavy rain came, which we didn't mind, but water started coming through an outdoor ceiling light fitting. I know about electrical work and thought it was dangerous, so I told the "technical manager," who clearly didn't seem very technical. The roof then collapsed, with concrete and plasterboard falling down. It was lucky nobody was sitting underneath, because someone could have been killed, and thankfully no children were nearby. Later, someone was kicking off with his wife and smashing glasses, so I reported that to management too. They took five hours to respond, and it took lots of frightened guests with children to get them to take me seriously. For me, the main problem is the manager or owner, more than the hotel itself. I keep thinking about what could have happened if my child and I had been sitting under that ceiling.
