Supreme Marmaris Hotel

The first night put us off a bit because they were double booked, but they sorted it out by midday the next day. Food was hit and miss, though there was still enough to get by on the all-inclusive plan. Overall, the hotel and facilities were very good.

I can’t recommend this hotel. I’ve never seen a place like it in Marmaris. The towels were dirty, the room floors filthy, and the beds stained. There was no hot water in the bathrooms. The air conditioners either didn’t work or leaked water. There were rooms available, but the woman at reception wouldn’t move us. I also saw her yell at an elderly woman. None of the guests seemed satisfied. Flies were everywhere, including the buffet, and I found an insect in my food. The food was terrible. Nobody on staff, including the bartenders and receptionists, spoke English, so we couldn’t explain our problems. The chefs behaved inappropriately toward my wife and other women. Meanwhile, the general manager spent his days drinking tea and playing board games. The hotel has two blocks, and one has no elevator. There are no bellboys, and nobody offered to help with our luggage. We had to carry it up to the fourth floor ourselves. Don’t come here.

The people are friendly, and the simple, somewhat outdated rooms are cleaned every day. There’s a salad bar, but as a vegetarian, dinner is just fries and salad, which is a shame when the food for meat eaters changes daily. When I ask about it, they say nobody here is vegetarian. That’s really not okay. I paid for all-inclusive too, and don’t feel included. This is a no-go for vegetarians!

This was our first and last time at this hotel. When we arrived, they didn’t give us bands for the all-inclusive plan, and I had to pay £25 for the safe. The route to the hotel included a detour that left us at a local shop to spend more money. Then we were dropped around the corner and just told where to go, which didn’t feel very professional. On our first night, there was a fight involving staff and glass. The manager took someone outside, and an ambulance and police car arrived. Everyone at the hotel saw what happened. We couldn’t take photos, so I have no proof. I told Thomas Cook, but the hotel said it happened outside the front, which is a complete lie. The manager gathered staff by the pool table and shut the sliding doors without apologizing to any of us. There were small children there too, and it was very scary. Half the kitchen staff were missing the next day. Thomas Cook knows about it, and I’m sure people who were there on the 23rd of June know exactly what I mean, but the hotel said nothing happened. They’re big liars. The website shows entertainment, but there was none. After 10 pm, drinks cost extra. The food was the same every day, nothing exciting. I’ve been to Turkey before, but I won’t come back to this place. I told Thomas Cook I’d write a review, and I won’t book with them again either.
