Grand Rimedya Mudanya Hotel

The location works especially well if you’re driving. From the parking lot you can get straight onto the highway to Bursa. On foot, markets and other essentials are a fairly direct 15-25 minute walk, or quicker by public transport, and the beach is 15 minutes away. The downside is that the hotel faces the Bursa road, which stays noisy even at 4:00 on a summer night. Closed windows and air conditioning nearly take care of it. Rooms were clean, beds soft and comfortable, and there was plenty of furniture. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There’s soap by the sink but no dispenser in the shower, and the toilet makes a loud refill noise after flushing, which maintenance might want to check. Breakfast was quite decent, though nothing special apart from the omelette or eggs with spices made on request, which were good. One cook could use a little more help, since she sometimes got busy with other tasks and missed an empty coffee pot or cheese tray that needed refilling. She was always happy to help when asked. For the owners, if evening restaurant staff are hard to keep, maybe they could arrange delivery with some local restaurants, leave menus in the rooms, and earn a commission. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for business travel. For a holiday without a car, I’m less sure.

We had a very nice three-day stay. Having parking for our car mattered a lot, and the room, though small, was comfortable and very clean. I liked the clean bathroom and its comfortable shower cabin. Breakfast was varied and really tasty. Once we went down at 9.30 and there were no eggs, but on the other mornings the staff made us omelettes specially. They were really kind. Everything was fine, I’d recommend staying here!

The receptionist was really kind, and everything else was okay, especially breakfast. I didn’t like the smell on the towels. Just so people know, you do get the room shown in the photo. If we return to Mudanya, we’ll choose this hotel again. Best,

We paid 2100 liras for two rooms for one night, which felt a bit overpriced, especially when a fabulous four-star hotel in Ankara was only 1900 liras. The hotel was okay, but it felt boring and ordinary, and breakfast was just as uneventful. The staff were polite, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Plan ahead and find somewhere better.
