Oscar Boutique Hotel

We'd like to return, though next time we'd stay a little longer. Our room and the pool were clean, comfortable, and roomy enough. The staff were kind, helpful, and respectful, and the manager was friendly and nice to chat with. Kaleiçi in the Old Town was only a few minutes away, yet it was very quiet.

The Wi-Fi could've been better, but it worked well enough. We loved our stay, with big, clean rooms and fresh linen, plus a super friendly host who greeted us with a smile every time. The location is hard to beat, just steps from the old town. We'd definitely come back!

The pool and location were great, but the hospitality was poor. The owner/front receptionist had bad manners and was unfriendly. They don't serve food, yet wouldn't let us bring snacks or drinks into the hotel, which felt unfair, especially since there was a fridge in the room. If they sold food, I'd understand and buy it there, but they didn't. For two nights, the aircon leaked onto my bed and the floor. They also cancelled my booking.com reservation, which should have been £295, and charged £310 instead. That seemed very suspicious and stopped me from being able to leave a review on booking.com. I wouldn't recommend the place. His response below shows how rude he is.

We had a good time at Oscar hotel, and Oscar and Ali were fantastic hosts, always cheerful and welcoming. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the high street, old town, and bazaar. The room was a bit small but had everything we needed. The bathroom could use some work: it was dark, stuffy without an extraction fan, and not very soundproof, so noise from the neighboring room came through. For a relaxing spot with crystal-clear water, Adalar Beach is about a 10-minute walk. Firinci Cafe Pastane is a good breakfast option. A101 and Cosmetica are around 5 minutes away for things like body wash or shampoo, and Nar Market Manav is nearby for fresh fruit. Those bathroom issues were minor compared to how much we enjoyed the stay. The staff are genuinely kind, and relaxing by the pool with a drink before heading out was lovely. I'm glad we chose this place. I'm not sure why the reviews are negative, and I'd happily recommend it.
