Metin Hotel

The rooftop breakfast terrace has views in every direction, including the Lycian Tombs on the cliff, and the Turkish breakfast suited a holiday in Turkey. The hotel is near the center of Dalyan, just off a busy shopping and drinking area. Its pool is lovely, though some guests ignored the notices and saved sunbeds with towels. The rooms are simple, clean, spacious, and air conditioned, and all the blocks are only three storey, so there are no lifts. I spent a lovely week at Metin Hotel, Dalyan, and found the staff friendly, attentive, and helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Seeing the tombs lit up from our balcony at night was a lovely extra, and breakfast overlooking them was a treat. The Turkish breakfast felt like part of the experience, and I didn't miss having an English one. The furniture was dated, but I liked the authentic feel it gave the hotel. We had a super week here, with lovely staff, a very clean hotel, and a location close to town. My elderly parents were with me, so the lack of a lift was the one drawback. Thanks to everyone at Metin Hotel for making our first stay such a good one. I hope to see you again in September!

I've stayed here many, many times. The location is great, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff are so friendly. Looking forward to seeing you all again in September.

Apart from the sunbed mess, the hotel was fine. The rooms were basic but clean, and breakfast was very basic too. There seemed to be less food as the holiday went on, though it did the job. The location is very central in Dalyan, but not too easy in the evenings. Guests were telling the woman who runs the hotel they couldn't find a sunbed, even while more than half were sitting unused. Staff were sent out to bring in extra beds from elsewhere, which seemed as ridiculous to them as it did to us. In the end, the added sunbeds away from the pool were occupied, while the reserved ones beside it stayed empty. Management had a sign asking guests not to reserve beds, but left towels in place for hours. I'm guessing that was because they belonged to repeat guests. If that's the policy, it needs to be enforced. This ruined our experience. Some guests who return every year were putting towels on sunbeds as early as 6am, and by 8am they were all claimed. I'd mind less if people actually used them, but around 50% were barely used all day. We saw some groups spend probably only an hour on their reserved beds over the whole day.
