Breakfast choices were limited, and the hotel is a bit far from the city center, so the commute can be long. You can’t see the hot air balloons from here. The rooms vary a lot in decor and quality: room #202 was excellent, but rooms 203 and 305 weren’t as good. Check which room you’ll get before booking. We had a decent stay at this cave hotel.

The hotel was clean and tidy, with a decent breakfast, but it advertises more than it has. On its hotels.com profile, it claims an 84inch TV, premium channels, bath robes, and a valley view. I booked a Luxury room and paid 300 euro for 2 nights, partly because I wanted the big TV and valley view, but those amenities weren’t there. When I asked what they could do, they offered to kick me out lol 🤦🏽‍♂️ I’ve contacted hotels.com to file a complaint, and they recommended that I complain to Turkey ministry of tourism and culture. They said that under Turkish Consumer Protection Law, hotels must provide the services promised during booking, and that if they don’t, you’re entitled to seek a remedy such as a refund, compensation, or other corrective measures. For this price, I’d recommend doing your own due diligence before booking.

I didn’t have a very good experience here. It’s a cave hotel, so staying in a cave is part of the appeal, and they do clearly mention that the caves don’t have AC. Not every room has a swimming pool. The jacuzzi in my room leaked; they said they’d look at it the next day, but nothing was done. I was told food was available until 11, but the restaurants had closed by 10.30. They ordered food from somewhere else and arranged it, but despite my asking for vegetarian food, it had meat. Rooms are only cleaned if you ask. I asked four times, but by 6 pm the room still hadn’t been cleaned. After I asked again, they changed the towels, but didn’t dry the floor or do anything else. They also didn’t provide a water bottle. I requested an early checkout and asked for coffee, but was told there was no warm water. Five minutes later, I saw my driver being given coffee. I don’t know whether they didn’t understand the language or what, but overall I wasn’t happy with the hotel.

Doctors Cave Cappadocia Hotel feels like a gem in the heart of Cappadocia. The staff are warm and friendly, and their hospitality made me feel at home throughout the stay. They were very welcoming and caring, with service that went above and beyond. I’d recommend it if you want a place that feels like home away from home. I’d also like to thank Kemal personally for all the help whenever I needed something.
