Well Done Hotel

We came for a weekend with our children as two families, but weren’t happy with the cleanliness, furnishings, or the way the people renting to us communicated. I wouldn’t recommend it. You’ll waste your money and time. We’d asked several times while booking whether the houses were clean and well maintained because we were traveling with kids. They reassured us there’d be no problem. The ad said check-in was 2 PM, then by phone we were told 2:30. We arrived at 3, and cleaning was still underway. The whole house was extremely dirty. Kitchen items were old and filthy, and there weren’t enough plates, forks, or knives. The barbecue grill was broken and old. The pool was small and dirty. They said the pump was running to clean it, but the water had dust from the trees and flies or insects on it. There was also a visible layer of sunscreen on the surface. The air conditioners were old and filthy, their vents were broken, and all but one failed to cool properly.

Mr. Zeynel, who was responsible for the pool, was the one bright spot in the villa. He helped as much as he could, and we’re very grateful to him. We were two families with a baby and had driven 120km to shop. The ad gave a 2 PM check-in, but by phone they told us 2:30. At 3 PM, the floors were still being wiped and the house was dirty. When we raised it with the cleaner, Mr. Eray called instead of apologizing and said, “If you want, I can give you your deposit back, another customer is ready, so no one will be inconvenienced.” He’s supposedly the owner! The house was dirty and short on supplies, with only two knives in total. The pots and pans were greasy and unwashed, and there were cigarette butts, hair, and food crumbs. Cleaning should mean more than wiping floors with a dirty mop. Ms. Serpil told us she’d had a henna night the day before and was looking after all the villas, so she couldn’t keep up. I’m sharing the details to help anyone doing more research after us.

We spoke with Mr. Eray about a weekend booking. He said I could pay the deposit on Monday, but when I asked for an IBAN that day, he said he’d rented the place to someone else, as if we’d never reserved it. I can’t say how reliable their business is, but at least we didn’t lose a deposit.

We’d called and agreed on a date, but the villa we’d reserved for that day was handed to someone else. Our whole holiday plan fell apart, including the plans our friends had made.
