We were three siblings visiting from Vienna, and the care from Mr. Celalettin and Ms. Gamze was a big part of our stay. We felt like family over those three days, with their warmth, conversations, and hospitality. They deserve every bit of praise, and we’d give the service an even higher score if we could. The stone building and its authentic architecture made a lovely atmosphere. We were there in February and got a bit cold on the second night. They brought us a heater, but it wasn’t enough for us since we’re not used to air conditioning. Maybe it’s just a seasonal issue. Balıklıgöl (Fish Lake) is about a 7-8 minute walk away. The lanes around the hotel can feel like a maze, and they were quiet and a little unsettling in the evenings. We also had a hard time with our luggage because the car couldn’t drive all the way to the hotel. We had a warm, friendly, unusual stay and would absolutely come back. It seems especially suited to people who enjoy walking and want an authentic atmosphere. Best regards,

We picked Abgar Hotel in Urfa after doing a lot of research, but the stay didn’t work out for us. The building looks nice and authentic from outside, yet the hairdryer in our room was broken and loud music went on until midnight, so we couldn’t rest. Breakfast was cold the next morning, with cold omelets, undercooked eggs, and flies around the buffet. We asked for it to be served hot like the pictures, and the next day it was prepared properly. When I thanked the staff member, though, they just looked at me sternly and said nothing. That upset us. The owner dealt with the problems and apologized, but the staff member didn’t apologize at all. We won’t choose this hotel again.
